Musing Through Matthew- Standing Before Earthly Judges

Let us muse again today from Matthew 10:19 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our text for today we are given thoughts on our response when we are called to stand before earthly judges because of our faith in Christ. Our Lord tells us not to be anxious about what we shall say. In that very hour God the Father through the power of the Holy Ghost will put in our mouths the words we are to say. This has been true over and over again in the cases of the martyrs defending the truth before their deaths. Simple peasants have brought low great philosophers and humble women have caused the mighty to be silent.
