Musing Through Matthew-He Must Have All The Places

Let us muse again today from Matthew 10:37 and the theme of Jesus King. It is in this text that we find the command that He must have all the places in our life. To place one’s love for something or somebody above their love for Jesus is a very dangerous thing. Our Lord will not share the throne of His love with anyone. There used to be a statement years ago that many said that God wants first place in your life. I do not believe such a thing is true of our Lord. If you have four places in your life and you give Him first that leaves three for you. Our Lord will settle for nothing less than all the places in your life.
