Musing Through Matthew- Giving A Cup Of Cold Water

Let us muse again today from the last verse of chapter 10 of Matthew, verse 42 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our text for today we are told to give to the little ones, those poor or weaker among us a cup of cold water. This cup of cold water illustrates something that is not of great value to us but to another it is like a gold mine in value. When we give to someone a cup of cold water it is like a banquet to them. It will be the grounds of great fellowship and communion but greater than that it will assure you of a great reward over in glory land.
