Musing through Matthew-Warning To Repent

Let us muse again today from Matthew 11:20 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our text for today we find a warning to repent. Our Lord began to upbraid them because of their lack of repentance. The word means a change of mind or 180° turn away from sin. How often the man of God today who pastors a church must take occasion to upbraid his people to repent. As we preach the subject of repentance let us remember the teachings of the book of Acts that tells us repentance is a gift from God. Man cannot turn from sin but must be turned from sin by God alone.
