Musing Through Matthew- A Swept House

Let us use again today from Matthew 12:44 theme of Jesus king. Yesterday we found the unclean spirit left the house of a man. Today we find he returned. He calls this my house and did not build it. He returns at will and finds it empty. There is no Holy Ghost to do battle for this house. It is a swept house. The unclean spirit, or the devil by a more common title loves the house lived in by morality and religion. If there is no Holy Ghost it is easy to return to as the most hardened of sinners. Oh how I rejoice in the One who lives in me, fills the house, and sets a guard about my soul.
