Musing Through Matthew-Brighter And Brighter Darker And Darker1

Let us use again today from Matthew 13:12 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our text today we are reminded those in the dark will only get darker while those in the light will get brighter. It is true of the one to whom God has given spiritual light they will seek for more light while those in the dark when they get around spiritual light the light becomes darkness. This is so illustrated by the children of Israel and the Egyptians at the Red Sea. The cloud that was such a bright light to God’s people became a cloud of darkness to the Egyptians. Once again we are reminded that God decides who walks in the light and who walks in the darkness.
