Musing Through Matthew- The Pearl Of Great Price

Let us muse again today from Matthew 13:45-46 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our study today we find the pearl of great price. This man is a merchant and not a farmer and he finds the pearl because he is seeking. Let us remember God must cause us to seek, no man seeks of his own free will. When he found the great pearl, he sold all and bought the field. I believe this pearl speaks of the gospel once one has found it he sells all in order to have this pearl of the gospel. The gospel is powerful and lets us see that all is temporal  in comparison to the Christ of the gospel.
