Musing Through Matthew- Depths Of Depravity

Let us muse again today from Matthew 14:11 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our text today we see the depths of depravity in a mother daughter duo. The daughter receives the head of John the Baptist then totes it to her mother, who I’m sure wants to take a look. Oh the depths of depravity in these two wicked women. I wonder if throughout eternity in hell all they will see is that head? Do not think we are above this depth of depravity. One of the old preacher said we couldn’t be born as adults the way Adam and Eve were. We must be born as babies because of our depravity was so deep, if born as adults we would have grabbed a scalpel in the birthing room and slit the throat of our mom and the doctor. Thank God the blood of Jesus Christ goes deeper than the stain of depravity.
