Musing through Matthew – Discern The Weather But Not The Times

Let us muse again today from Matthew 16: 2 – 3 and the theme of Jesus The King. In our text for today our Lord refers to these people as hypocrites. They can discern the weather but not the times. All of the Old Testament prophecies point to this particular time, Jesus this particular person as the Messiah yet they saw Him not. Oh how many can forecast the weather today, days, weeks, months and even years in the future but no not the God of the weather. They often refer to Him as mother nature.There are signs all around us such as the cross, the resurrection, the word of God, the Holy Ghost, and the many works of Grace. Let us not miss these but let us stand waiting and watching for your long promised return.
