The Theme Of Colossians

Let us begin today a journey of several musings through the book of Colossians. The key verses are Colossians 2: 9-10 where we are told that ‘Christ is full of God and we are complete in Him’. Paul’s original reason for writing this letter was to deal with Gnosticism which was a group who claimed to know all the deep things of God. They said that the Christian life was Christ plus something else. Oh how many religions and even among Baptist teach that it is Christ plus our little thoughts. Paul said ‘it is Christ plus nothing’ for we are complete in Him. What a blessed thought that if I am in Him I have all that I need.
