The Position Of Reconciliation
Let us muse today from Colossians 1:21b-22 on the subject of the ‘Position Of Reconciliation’. Paul declares in verse 21 ‘yet now hath He reconciled’. The sentence never ends but continues in verse 22 with these words, ‘In the body of His flesh through death’. In order to reconcile me to God, Christ has me in His body when He died on that cross. Because of this position Paul says, ‘He can now present me holy’. The word has to do with being set apart and being made God-like. We will also be presented unblameable and unreprovable. The words have the idea of being accused or blamed for wrong doing. This will all be as it is seen in God’s sight. Can we imagine when Satan comes to accuse those who are in Christ what he will find? Satan tells no lies about us, but only the truth. God will say, ‘I see no fault in them or any facts to back up your accusations’. Why? When I look at them I see only my Son.
