An Unbelievable Word

Let us mediate today on the vast world of Luke 1:31 which says, “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.” All three of these of phrases ‘shalt conceive, bring forth a son, and call his name JESUS’ are  fulfillments of Old Testament prophecies.  Just the thought of a virgin conceiving is beyond unbelievable. Then we are told that it will be a ‘son’. There are no sonograms, yet the angel knows the gender before the conception. This lets us know that we were known before we were conceived. They were to call him ‘JESUS’.  This name means ‘God is salvation’. This must have been a lot for a little teenage girl to take in at one sitting.
