More About Him

We continue our Christmas meditation with Luke 1:32 which says, “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:” Mary is told of her son’s loftiness in these words, ‘great’ and Son of the Hightest’. These words are words that describe a height of which no man can reach. It is the highest of the high. She was also told of her son’s lineage. He shall be given the throne of His father David. We are told here that He sprung from David. He later tells us that He is David’s Daddy. How can this be? The book of Revelation tells of His title when He is called the root and offspring of David. There is none like Him. It sure makes you want to know more about Him.
