The Question

Our hearts are drawn to Mary’s question in Luke 1:34 which says, Then said Mary unto the angel, How can this be seeing I know not a man? The pure heart of this virgin girl is expressed in this question. How can this impossible thing happen? It is impossible for a virgin to conceive a baby, why everyone knows that. It has never happened before or since. This child who was all God and all man must Be born of a virgin. A child receives it’s blood from the father’s seed. Jesus had the blood of God flowing in His veins. To be washed in His blood is to have all our sins removed. The thought makes my heart say, How can this be? I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus and wonder.
