A Chronology Of Walk

I am still musing from home today. We had a wonderful time  on Sunday around the word with Pastor Allen Blaton and the good people at Center Pigeon Baptist Church in Canton, N. C. I want to look today at the order of walk in Isaiah 40:31, which says But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run not be weary ; and they shall walk and not faint. The great door into this order is waiting on the LORD. What can be gained by that? The text says our strength will be renewed. The word means to exchange. I will exchange my strength for the LORD’s. My, that is some more change. Now look at the order of walk. I had an old preacher, now with the Lord, tell me one day Isaiah got the order wrong. He put it fly, run, walk, the old preacher said it ought to be walk, run, and then fly. I didn’t know what to say. He then laughed and said the order is right. He said, “When I was young I thought I could fly for the Lord. In my middle age I slowed down and just ran to the Lord, but now that I am old I am learning to walk with the Lord”. May we learn the order of walking  and walk on.
