Elijah’s Trust By a Brook

I am musing from the motel again today. We started yesterday at Grace Memorial Baptist in Burlington, NC. We had a real sweet day. Let us ponder IKings 17:1-8  today. At different times the word there plays a big part in the life of Elijah. If you remember he told Ahab it would not rain for three years,and then ran for his life. Elijah found there was safety there. In verse three God hides him in plane site by the brook Cherith. In verse four we find there is  a supply there. The Bible tells  us he got water here and the ravens brought him bread and meat twice a day.  That my friend is a miracle for a raven wouldn’t dare give away meat and they don’t eat bread. Elijah found the Lord spoke there in verse 2 and 8. When God was finished with him there his brook dried up. What is the great lesson here? It is this God will not take care of us in any other place but there. Find out where your there is and get there and trust Him.
