Attention To The Walk With God
We continue today to muse through I Thessalonians in light of our theme “While Waiting For The King”. Today in1:12 Paul calls attention to our walk when he says, ” That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto His glory”. We find through our musing the conversation of this walk. The word walk and conversation are used interchangeable to speak of ones manner of life. As we wait for the King may we pay close attention to our walk. Let us make sure we are walking with Him and not afar. I see also the call of this walk. This is not just any old call from man, but a divine call accompanied by the ability to do what has been asked. If He calls us to walk there will be the ability to walk. I see in my pondering the circumspect of this walk. We are to walk worthy. The word means balance. We must put the Lord on one side of the scale and us on the other, and the scales must balance. I see lastly the Christ of this walk. We are to walk in His glory. Glory speaks of His likeness. I must seek by the power of the indwelling Spirit of God to be more like Christ, while I wait on Him to come for me.
