Waiting With Assurance

As we begin to muse on I Thessalonians Chapter four, the key verse is 15. This is  where we  are reminded that while we wait for the King we can do it with assurance. I see in my meditation of verses 1-2 and 12 there is the walk of assurance. In verse one Paul tells we should walk for His recognition. Paul exhorts and pleads with us to walk so as to please Him. We should never take paths to please our self or others. May our paths have but one goal, to hear Him say well done. In verse two Paul tell us our walk should be according to His rules. Paul tells us to walk by His commandments. He speaks of the Bible, God’s rule book. We can’t just walk any old way we please. Study the rule book and then walk accordingly. Paul tells us in verse 12 our walk should be real. Paul calls it an honest walk. Let us not be an impostor, but let us be true  belivers and walk as such. You might ask why is our walk so important while wait for the King? In verse 12 Paul tells us if our walk is right we will never lack for anything while we wait.
