I call this section the liberty of hope in suffering. I see in verse22, creation groans for liberty. John tells us the whole creation lies in wickedness, since creation. All of the weather calamities are the earth groaning for the freedom of being made new. In verse 23 I find the creature groans for liberty. All of our pains, aches, and troubles are groans for the liberty of the new body. What are we do until then? Paul says in verse19, give all our expectations to the Lord. In verse 23b we are told to look to our final work of adoption, which is the the redemption of our body.
