Passionate Thoughts
I muse again today from Philippians1:5-8. Remember Paul is in prison in a Roman seward. It is through his attitude God changes his prison into a palace of praise. The verses today tell of his passionate thoughts. My, how our thinking controls our freedom when shut up by our Lord. In verse 5 we find thoughts upon their fellowship. Paul is musing on the common truths of the gospel he has with the folks at Philippi. He is thinking on those who have helped him and not those who hurt him, not those who stood against him,but stood with him. This thinking brings freedom. In verse 6a we find Thoughts upon their foundation. Paul remembers those God has begun a good work in, with confidence it will be completed. He thinks of Lydia the seller of purple, the jailer at Philippi, and the demon possess girl. In verse 7-8 there is thoughts upon their furtherance. Paul says I have you in my heart and it causes me to defend the gospel in greater ways than I ever had before. If the Lord has you shut up emotionally or physically or financially. think on these things and there will be freedom.
