The Observation Of Performance

Let us muse today from Philippians 2:14-15, while we continue to look at our performance in unwelcome situations. In verse 14 I find the observation of performance. Paul said our practice should be without somethings.  It should not be an observation of discontentment. One of the things it should be without was  was murmings, which means discontentment with ones circumstances. The other we are to be without was disputings. This word means, to speak out in an ugly way against those who are in authority. Both of these were practiced by the children of Israel in Numbers 23:5-6. God’s response was to send fiery serpents among them. They were living on serpent level. In verse 15 I find an observation of dedication. Paul reminds us this is a crooked and perverse world and we must lay a Christ like life down beside it. We must live a life that is blameless, which is a life you can not point a finger at. We must be harmless which is a life that is ignorant to the ways of evil. We must also be without rebuke, which means without spot. This Christ like pattern is not easily reached, how are you doing with it.
