Position Of Being Complete

Let us muse today on some principles of behaviour in the unwelcome situations God sends. In Philippians 3:9-11 I find the position of being complete. The phrase in verse 9, “And be found in Him”, is the great truth of our position. For us to be found in Him is salvation, for Him to be found in us is sanctification. Being seen in Christ is what God sees of our position. If Christ is in us that is what the world sees of our position. This position should tell the world I am in pursuit of Him. This is seen in the phrase that I might know Him. The world should see the power from this position in the phrase, power of His resurrection and fellowship of His suffering. The world should see the pattern of our position in the phrase, being made conformable to His death. No wonder Paul said follow me instead of follow Christ. Paul could have said if you have seen me you have seen Christ. They use to get John The Baptist and Jesus mixed up. Do you have that problem? I don’t, but sure do want to.
