The Two Edge Sword

Let us muse today from Revelation 2:12 and the church at Pergamus. Our Lord approached the church with a sharp two edge sword. This is the weapon taken out of our Lord’s arsenal to defend the truth.Hebrews 4 tells us that it being two-edged means it will cut us going in and coming out. This sword of the Word of God will separate our soul from our spirit. It can discern our thoughts and intentions.This is our only weapon of defense in the armour of God mentioned in Ephesian 6. When our Lord returns He will come with this sword coming from out of His mouth.He will destroy many with the brightness of His coming. My, what a powerful Book the Bible. Let us wield it with caution. It cuts quick and deep. Let us attack error with this sword as well as comfort others with its presence.
