State Of Philadelphia

Let us muse today from Revelation 3:8 and the state of the Philadelphia church. I see in verse 8a that they were in a state of omniscience in the phrase ‘I know thy works’. We have a God that knows it all. He has full knowledge. He is pleased with the works of this people. Oh may He know my works and be pleased with them. I see in verse 8b that they were in a state of openness. God has put an open door before them that no man can shut. Let us as God’s people wait upon Him to open and shut doors for us. Because of this we can be confident that there will be no dead end streets or statements of ‘I wished I would not have done that’. I see in verse 8c a state of omnipotence. We are reminded that we have little strength but He has all strength. They have kept His word and not denied His name with their little strength. It is clear that it was not will power that did it but His all power through them. Oh may we live in this blesssed state.
