Jacob’s Pride

Let us muse today on the Preservation of Jacob’s Pride. In Genesis 31:3 God tells Jacob to go home. We find in Genesis, ‘Pride’s Ignorance’ in the life of Jacob. After a face to face encounter with God in 32:30 he goes to Succouth in 33:17 which is at the edge of Egypt. Jacob, that’s not the way home. In Genesis 33:18-20 he settles among the Canaanite people and he still does not go home. Let us remember that it is very dangerous to disobey God. The pride of our ignorance can be very costly. It will be for Jacob.
