The Book Of James

I would like to muse from the book of James and Chapter 1 for the next few weeks. I want to take as our theme, ‘God’s Blueprint For Blessings’. There is much said in Chapter 1 about the blessings of God. In verse 4 He speaks of ‘wanting nothing’. In verse 5 He is seen as ‘the God who gives’. In verses 12, 17, & 25 we find that He is a ‘God of blessings’. In James, Chapter 1, we will find that in order to know God’s blessings there must be an encounter with 5 things. In verses 17-18 there must be an encounter with ‘Theology‘, verses 1-4 an encounter with ‘Trials‘, verses 20-25 an encounter with ‘Truth‘, verses 12-16 an encounter with ‘Temptation’, and lastly in verses 19-21 ‘An Evidence of our Testimony’.
