The Birth Is Infinite In Its Bounty

Let us muse again today from James 1:18b and the Narrowness of God seen as being Infinite in its Bounty. James tells us that we who have experienced this infinite birth are the first fruits of God. I stand amazed to be included in the fruit that God has ordained before time that His tree of life shall bear. James was beheaded two years after these words were written. Instead of telling us that he was the brother of Jesus, Pastor of the First Church of Jerusalem, or the pillar of the Church, he only referred to himself as ‘James, a servant of God’. My, how the infinite birth of God brings the bountiful fruit of Christ-likeness. You would think a study of theology would be dry and stale but instead it is wet and juicy. May we give our lives to studying God. It will certainly bring His blessings upon us.
