Focus On The Perfecting Of Faith

Let us muse again today from James 1:4 and our Encounter With Trials on the road to God’s Blessings. I want to lay before us today the need for our Focus Of The Perfecting Of Our Faith. In verse 4 we find that our trials ‘worketh patience’ in us. The phrase deals with perseverance and the ability to lift it and walk on. Let us not resist light afflictions. It may be God’s weight lifting program preparing us for heavier things. Trials let us see what is eternal versus what is temporal. Let me see, that God through trials, is perfecting me.  If I am whining about sinus headaches what will I do with brain cancer. The songwriter said, ‘I need thee every hour’ which is certainly a worthy goal to have. I am more in need of the song ‘Moment by moment I am kept in your love.’ Lord, stay near by during your perfecting work. Don’t leave me for a moment lest I fall into temptation.
