He Thinks But Does Not Know

Let us continue to muse today from James 1:22 and our Encounter With Truth on our road to God’s Blessings. I want to look today at the warning of ‘He Thinks Upon The Word But Does Not Know’. The phrase in verse 22, ‘deceiving your ownselves’ deals with self-deception. The word ‘deceiving‘ means false thinking about self. Oh how often we look in the mirror of the Word but see nothing of our true self. It is like reading the menu of the restaurant but never eating the meal or like reading the outside of the medicine bottle but never taking the medicine. The word ‘logos’ speaks of the Bible in its entirety. The word ‘rehma’ speaks of a special word when the Bible addresses your personal need. When is the last time the Bible went from being a ‘logos’ to being a ‘rehma’ for you?
