The Look Of Depth
Let us muse today from James 1:25 and our Encounter With Truth on the road to God’s Blessings. Let us think on the subject of ‘The Look Of Depth Into The Word’. The word ‘looked’ in verse 25 is the word to stare or look attentively. It is clear in John 20, when Peter and John went to the empty tomb, that John saw more than Peter. It was all in how he looked. We find the Bible to be a gold mine of truth. In order to mine out its rich nuggets there must be a look of depth. In the gold mines of Africa they go down 12,000 feet and bring up 4 tons of ore and only sift out an average of 3 ounces of gold. So much work for so little gold. In verse 23 there was a quick stare in the mirror of the Word that produced nothing. Little work in the gold mine of His Word produces little depth of truth nuggets.
