The Target Of Love

Let us muse again today from Colossians 1:4b and the target of Paul’s prayer about thanks. Today I see that another target of Paul’s thanks for the church at Colossae was their love which they had for all the saints.The word love here is the great word agape which is a love that originates with God and it is shed abroad in the heart of God’s people by the Holy Ghost and it causes them to be obedient without question of why or how come. The song writer said it best with the words O love that drew salvation plan. Paul had heard of their love for Christ. He knew the only way they had this love was that it was given them by God.Then he heard that they were not storing it up, but they were a channel of love to all the saints. Let it be heard of us that we have and share the love of God for all the saints and not just the select circle that sees everything the way we see it.
