Evident Results Of Power

Let us muse today from Colossians 1:11b and The Evident Results Of This Power. This glorious power is evident in the area of our patience. I think of John’s patience in James when he says ‘you have heard of the patience of Job.’ David had great power to take on Goliath but greater still was the patience not to kill Saul when he had the chance. When I think of longsuffering power I think of the suffering of Jeremiah. Patience certainly gives strength for the circumstance of life while longsuffering gives strength to deal with the people we encounter in life. I find in the thought of joyfulness the words of Jesus when He said on the cross ‘that it was the joy that was set before Him’. Let us tap into not just any power but glorious power.
