A River

Let us muse today from the last of Paul’s pictures of progress in Colossians 2: 7b. The word abounding is the picture of a river that is overflowing its banks. Paul tells us when we have taken our proper position of being a pilgrim, a tree, a building, and a student, we will erupt into and overflowing river of Thanksgiving. Paul said that in everything give thanks for this is His will for you. We are not to give thanks for all things but in all thing. I wonder if the reason we are living among an unthankful people, is because there is no progress in our Christian walk with the Lord. It is certainly something to examine and see where we stand.
