Covetousness And Idolatry

Let us muse one last time on Colossians 3:5 and sins to die to. The fifth sin Paul mentions is covetousness, which he says is idolatry. The word means the sins of always wanting more. It often goes into wanting what others have, which turns to the worship of idolatry. Let us be careful of wanting what providence  has not provided. If you get what providence has not provided for, you will be obligated for its up keep and outcome . Do not forget that this is the tenth of God’s commandments, which is ” THOU SHALT NOT COVET”. This commandment when broken, breaks all the other nine.
