Robes Of Humbleness And Meekness
Let us continue to muse from Colossians 3:12 and all dressed up with somewhere to go. When one has put on the new man of Christ He will display himself in some marvelous changes. One is the humbleness of mind. In Paul’s day pride was the mark of strength. Humility is the mark of strength in God’s eye. Humility sees oneself in the will of God, which gives us the ability to put Christ first, others second, and our self always dead last. The second is meekness which is not a weakness, but one who possesses all power under control. The word was used to describe a wind, and a healing medicine, are a broken colt. A wind can become a storm, medicine can kill, and a colt can bolt, but under control, what beauty we have. We do not need lose our temper when placed under His control.
