Husbands Love

Let us muse today from Colossians 3:19 where we are told that husbands are to love their wives. Paul’s comment to the wife are addressed to her will, but the  husbands comments or addressed to his heart. The love here is the sacrificial love Christ showed in dying for the church. Paul added this thought, be not bitter against them. The word bitter is traits or habits that exasperate another. Let us see our wives as the weaker vessel and do all to lift them up. Remember it is the little foxes that spoil the vine. Jesus always made Peter’s home His home when in Galilee. Let our homes be His abiding place because there is a sacrificial love and a submissive spirit found there.
