Archippus The Faltering Man

Let us muse today from Colossians 4:17 and Paul’s words to Archippus the faltering man. Archippus was the son of Philemon the owner of the slave Onesimus. He is probably the pastor of this church. Paul reminds him that this ministry is not a business but a calling. He has  received it as a gift from God. The word heed gives us the idea that we need to guard that which God has called us to. If we see it is as a gift and guard it with all our heart, we will see the growth of fruit mentioned in the words of Paul when he says, that thou shalt fulfill it. I do not know what God has put in your heart to do, but let us guard it and look for  fruit, more fruit, and much fruit if we are abiding in Christ.
