Minor Prophets

Let us begin to muse from the Minor Prophets. This will be a long under taking. There are 12 of the Minor Prophets. They are not minor because of importance, but only minor in size or length. We will begin today to look at Hosea.After King Solomon died the nation split into two parts. The southern kingdom was made up of  two tribes and was called the kings of Judah. The northern kingdom called the kings of Israel were made up of the other 10 tribes. We find that the southern kings were more spiritual while greater wickedness was found in the northern kings of Israel. Hosea  was called to preach to the northern kings for 40 years before they were swallowed up by Assyria. The south would later be swallowed up by Babylonian captivity.
