Let us in muse today from Hosea 3:1-2 and the thought of take her back. If you remember God commanded Hosea in 1:2 to marry Gomer a woman who was well-known as a harlot. She had three children by Hosea and then went back to her old life. In 3:1 God tells Hosea a picture of our Christ to take her back because of your love for her as a friend. Do remember our Lord’s love for us  is an everlasting love. God says I know she has all kinds of lovers, gods, and loves to drink wine, but take her back. The Lord said I want you to buy her back this time. He told Hosea  she is gone so low she is not worth much. He paid 15 pieces of silver which is half of the price for a slave of that day and Omer and a half of barley. This was the amount to feed an animal for a week. We had reached our lowest when God took us in and paid redemption price for our sin.
