Response To A Guilty Verdict

Let us muse today from Hosea 5:11-15 and Israel’s response to a guilty verdict.  In verse 12 God’s says He will be to them as a moth and rotteness.In verse 13 they realize they have a terminal wound and instead of turning to the Lord for healing they turn to the King of Assyria for help. Boy that sure sounds like the nation I live in. They are in great need of repentance and prayer, but they turn to politics and congressional bills. The Lord says I will tear you apart as a lion in verse 15, withdraw my self, and wait for you to reach bottom. I wonder how much longer He will wait for our nation to turn to Him.
