God has sent Assyria to swallow them up. The Lord used the potter’s discard of a worthless vessel to picture Israel’s state. The Lord says they dwell among the Gentiles as a vessel with no pleasure. There is no worthwhile benefit in this nation’s existence because of their sin. Oh, let us be extremely careful less we become ship wrecked in our effectiveness on this world because of sin.
