A Stupid Donkey Image

Let us muse today from Hosea 8:9 and a stupid donkey image. The wild donkeys of that day would run in packs, but often one who was filled with stubbornness would break off to become lion’s food. Israel is making an alliance with Assyria and they have none of the blessings of God. Job spoke of the stubborn wild colt and Ishmael was called a wild ass’s colt. Oh, how many times we turn to our own way without any leadership from the Lord. Be careful these are the times when we are outside  of God’s hedge of protection and we become a candidate for  lion’s food. Satan is the roaring lion that seeketh whom he may devour.
