A Common Prostitute Image

Let us muse today from Hosea 8:9b-10 and the common prostitute image. The text says in verse 10 Ephraim has hired themselves out as lovers. They have hired them selves out to Assyria by paying tribute to this godless nation. Because of this foolish act God has left His people to waste away. I wonder how far down the road the USA is towards selling ourselves out to godless nations simply because we will not call on Jehovah God for his help. Let us remember that it is foolish for a person to put his confidence in man.
