Faithful Love

Let us muse from Hosea 11:8-9 in the section I have entitled I stand amazed. In verses 8-9 I find God’s faithful love. Why did God not destroy Israel? Why has he not destroy the USA? He says in our text for I am God and not man. God in the past made a covenant with Abraham which was spiritually made to Christ and His seed. It is because of His faithful word of promise that keeps His destructive hand of judgment from falling. I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus and wonder how He could love me a sinner condemned and unclean. His love is faithful not because of us but because we are in His Son.
