Discipline Example

Let us muse today from Hosea 12:3-4  and a section I have entitled I stand amazed. In this text we find the discipline example. Our Lord brings to our remembrance   Jacob the heel grabber. Jacob is the one who struggled all his life to get what he already had. He was promised the birthright of  the older son, but he struggled all his life to get what he already had. In verse four it was only when he wrestled with the Lord and God changed his name to Israel did he realize all his struggles had been in vain. We who are saved receive all that Christ has and is in our position but, we often spend our time  struggling to get what we already have been given because we are in Christ.
