A Preparation For His Coming

Let us muse on a verse today that is full of thoughts of being prepared. It is Matthew 24: 44 which says ,Therefore  be ye also ready for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. I see here there must be a  personal preparation. (be ye) We can not get any  one else ready but our self. I noticed to there is a  practical preparation.(also ready) One of Jonathan Edwards’ resolves he made as a 20 year old boy and lived his life by them was, ” I resolve, never to do any thing, which I should be afraid to do, if I expected it would not be above an hour before I should hear the last trump. That my friend is ready. I see to in our verse a percise preparation. ( such an hour… think not) May the Lord not come and find me with no thoughts of Him. I see to a promise of preparation. (the Son of man cometh) I don’t know the when, but I am sure that He is coming. John said if you have this hope you will keep yourself pure.
