A Perception At His coming
I would remind us this week I will have no internet so the daily thought will be off until the end of the week. Let us muse today on Matthew 25 and the ten virgins. I see there was a prudent perception in verse two and three. The five wise virgins had oil and five foolish ones had none. Oil in the Bible is a picture of the Holy Ghost. We must have a strong relationship with the Spirit in these dark days prior to our Lord’s return. In verse 6 I see a patient perception. The bridegroom tarried and the bride must wait. Instead of waiting they slept. We must learn to wait. What is the secret to this spiritual exercise? The Bible says watch and pray or you will fall into temptation. I see in verse 6 and 10 a prepared perception. The shout came at midnight. Midnight is always a desperate time in the Bible. The Bible says in verse 10 they were ready and went in. Let us remember He will come like a thief in the night. A thief never calls ahead of time. He never goes through the trash or dirty clothes bag. He looks for jewels and things of great value. May I be ready and watching when He comes.
