A Warning To All

Let us muse again today from Joel 1:19-20 in this section I have entitled a present day in our journey through the theme of the day of the Lord. In these verses we find a warning to all. In verse 19 the people cried out to the Lord as all the fields have lost their ability to produce crops. When I think of God’s ability to supply or cut off the supply of our daily needs it gives a whole new meaning to the prayer, give us this day our daily bread, for it  is God alone who can sustain life. In verse two when I hear the cattle groaning I am reminded of Paul’s words in Romans that all creation groans for the redemption of the world when all the earth will blossom like a rose. May our Lord bring us to the place of crying out, even so come quickly Lord Jesus.
