Blow The Trumpets

Let us muse today from Joel 2:1-2 in this section that I have entitled a purposeful day. It is during these days that God instructs His people to do three things. The first one I draw our attention to is blow the trumpets. The nation would use the blowing of trumpets to call an assembly, announce a religious festivity or to warn of pending war. The trumpet is being blown here to warn of pending war. There will come a day when heaven will blow the trumpet. This trumpet will announce all three. It will be the call to assemble in the air. It will be a call for a religious festivity like none has ever been before in a place called the city of God. It will also warn that God has declared war upon the earth. Let us keep our ear turned to the heavens and looked up. Shhhhh, I thought I heard a trumpet blow.
