A Promised Day

Let us begin to muse today from Joel 2: 28-32 and a third section on the day of the Lord theme. We have looked at a present day and a purposeful day. Let us now begin to look at a promised day. Let us begin today to look at three things in relationship to this promised day. I feel this day would be a day in which we will experience the coming of the Lord. Let us look first at prior to this day. Joel says he will pour out his Spirit upon all flesh and especially our sons and our daughters. Oh how the church needs a fresh outpouring of the Spirit. There can be no power to witness Acts 1:8, no understanding of Scripture John 16:13, cannot glorify Christ John 16:14, cannot pray in the will of God Romans 8:26-27, or develop Christian character Galatians 5:22-23, without the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. May we be able to say in our day the Comforter has come.
